We’re excited to be the visual team for Sacramento Fashion Week coming in February 2011. Sacramento Fashion Week is one of those events that boutiques, galleries and downtown businesses should open their doors and celebrate. We launch ‘In The Making’, with a new logo, poster and website. As the weeks unfold to the 4-day event, we’ll be unveiling the campaign with a photo series, video and various online media for SACFW. Aside from visuals, we’ll be programming music for the various events, week of, and lookout for our signature design collateral to be printed.

After working in the creative industry for 10+ years and feeling the need to be more independent, we pushed ourselves to open a design studio. We threw ideas around and how this studio could function by adding all our skill sets under one roof. We referred to our new found studio as the “umbrella”.

The “umbrella”, has many uses, other than protecting you from the rain. We found some really cool umbrella stuff like art installations, products in fashion, and iconic imagery. We realized we shared similar thinking and philosophy of the Bauhaus. Bauhaus was the most influential art, craft and design school of the century founded in Germany. Its founders’ advocated a multi-disciplinary approach in design, much like what we hoped to bring to our studio. We now had a name for our studio, Umbrella Haus.
